Morrissey has temporarily paused his US tour after being hospitalized with a sudden illness. The former lead singer of The Smiths had to postpone two concerts in San Diego and Rancho Mirage, California, due to a serious sinusitis condition that necessitated medical attention. At 65, he received treatment at Coronado Hospital in San Diego and is currently on the mend.
The tour is scheduled to continue on May 5, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, with new dates confirmed for the postponed shows: Rancho Mirage will now take place on October 24, 2025, and San Diego's show is rescheduled for. Morrissey?s team expressed appreciation for the understanding of fans during this challenging time.
This health setback occurred just days after the start of his North American tour, which began on April 26, 2025. Following his performance in Bakersfield, California, Morrissey experienced the sinusitis attack, leading to the cancellation of the subsequent shows. The remaining US tour dates are set, leading into a UK and European tour starting in Dublin on May 31, 2025.
